Learn the art of relaxation and breathing for a positive birth experience. Calmbirth® workshops held in Malvern.

Are you frightened about giving birth?

Have you done hospital classes, read lots but still don't feel prepared?

Do you know how to work with your body in labour?

Does your partner know the best ways to support you?

These are often the questions that many women who seek out Calmbirth ask. Unfortunately, our standard hospital birth education doesn't fully equip women with the knowledge, tools and support to have a positive birth experience.

About Birth workshops offer a calm and relaxed environment in which we explore the emotional, physical and psychological aspects of birth. Through humor, stories, sharing and practical tools, we aim to empower couples to leave the workshop well equipped and with a positive view of birth.

We teach you all about calming breath, relaxation, massage, birth positions and more. Our couples leave the workshop feeling excited and ready to enjoy the journey of giving birth.

You will learn
  • To access their natural inner resources to alleviate the fear, anxiety and tension experienced during pregnancy, labour and childbirth
  • The practical skills of Relaxation, Breathing and Visualisation, which are used during pregnancy, labour, childbirth and beyond
  • How the mother\'s body is beautifully designed to birth her baby naturally and calmly and with the right preparation, to work with the process rather than resist it
  • The importance of a mother’s beliefs and attitudes about birth and how these can be one of the major differences between a positive or negative birth experience
  • The importance of bonding with their baby and how this effects their baby’s future life and practical tools to assist with your new baby
  • Stages of labour: What happens to your body, signs to look out for, understanding the physical impact of each stage of labour and birthing positions
  • How can I help my partner - Why dads often freak out? How to stay relaxed. How to advocate for your birthing woman. Practical things to do and not to do and the benefit of professional support
  • Birth choices: Today’s birth culture. What to expect. How the hospital system works. How to make it work for you
